These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the EasySystematicReviews website, research workspace, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read them carefully. If you use the Service on behalf of an institution or organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EasySystematicReviews, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• If you use the Service on behalf of an institution or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
• You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into and accept these Terms.

3. Description of Service

EasySystematicReviews is a research-assistance platform that supports evidence synthesis workflows, including systematic review management, meta-analysis, pooled analysis, study screening, data extraction, PRISMA workflow assistance, manuscript drafting, and AI-assisted research tools.

The Service is a research-assistance tool only. It does not replace independent scientific judgment, statistical review, clinical advice, peer review, or verification of source materials, and it must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional or clinical decision-making.

4. AI Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with research tasks. AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, hallucinations, extraction errors, statistical errors, interpretation errors, citation errors, and formatting errors, and may not be complete, current, or correct.

The Service may utilize third-party AI models, machine-learning systems, statistical engines, and external data providers. You must independently review and verify all AI-assisted outputs against the original source materials before relying on them in any research, publication, or clinical context, including all:

• Screening decisions
• Data extraction
• Statistical analyses
• Forest plots
• Manuscripts
• References
• Conclusions

Verification against the original source studies remains your responsibility before publication or clinical use.

5. No Medical Advice

• The Service is intended solely for research and educational purposes.
• Nothing generated by the Service constitutes medical advice.
• The Service does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or clinical guidance.
• You must not rely on the Service for patient care or clinical decision-making.

6. Publication Disclaimer

• Manuscript generation does not guarantee publication.
• Statistical analyses do not guarantee scientific validity.
• PRISMA diagrams, forest plots, meta-analyses, pooled analyses, references, and generated manuscripts are research-assistance outputs only.
• Journal acceptance, peer-review outcomes, funding decisions, academic approval, and publication success are not guaranteed.
• You remain solely responsible for validating all outputs.

7. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of the Service and for any content you submit. In particular, you agree to be responsible for:

• Verifying all research outputs generated or assisted by the Service.
• Ensuring that any content you upload is lawful and that you hold the rights necessary to upload and process it.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable institutional, ethical, and journal requirements.
• Protecting confidential, sensitive, or personally identifiable information within your research materials.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for, or in connection with, any of the following:

• Illegal activity of any kind.
• Copyright infringement or violation of others’ intellectual property rights.
• Unauthorized scraping or bulk extraction of platform content or data.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the platform.
• Security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability scanning without prior written authorization.
• Distribution of malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Automated abuse of the platform, including excessive or disruptive automated requests.

9. Research Ethics

You are responsible for conducting your research ethically and in compliance with all applicable standards. In particular, you must comply with:

• Institutional requirements.
• Publication standards.
• Journal policies.
• Research integrity standards.
• Ethical and regulatory requirements applicable to your work.

10. Research Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights in the research content you submit to the Service, including your:

• Uploaded files
• Manuscripts
• Extracted data
• Research projects
• Statistical outputs

You grant EasySystematicReviews only the limited, non-exclusive rights necessary to host, process, display, and otherwise handle your content for the sole purpose of operating and providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your research content.

11. Intellectual Property

The EasySystematicReviews name, branding, software, user interface, workflows, and proprietary features are and remain the intellectual property of EasySystematicReviews and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the platform or any part of it, nor use our branding without prior written permission.

12. Copyright Complaints

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content on or processed through the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a complaint to contact@easysystematicreviews.com including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location.
• Your contact information (name, email, and address where applicable).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

We will review valid complaints and may remove or restrict access to the relevant content where appropriate.

13. Subscription and Billing

Where paid subscription plans are offered, the following terms apply:

• Paid plans provide access to designated features of the Service as described at the point of purchase.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring billing cycle (for example, monthly or annually), as selected at checkout.
• Payments are securely processed through Razorpay or other authorized payment processors. We do not store full credit or debit card details.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as stated in our Refund Policy.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until that date.
• Access to paid features may be suspended or restricted following non-payment or a failed payment.
• Fees may change from time to time, and we will provide reasonable advance notice of any change before it takes effect.

Paid subscription billing may not be active for all users at this time. Where billing is not currently enabled, this section applies once paid plans are activated, and any specific plan details and pricing will be presented to you before you incur any charge.

14. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EasySystematicReviews shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, nor for any of the following arising from or related to your use of the Service:

• Research outcomes
• Publication outcomes
• Clinical outcomes
• Journal acceptance or rejection
• Statistical errors
• AI-generated content
• Research conclusions
• Academic decisions and evaluations
• Funding decisions
• Grant submissions
• Manuscript acceptance

You are solely responsible for any decision made on the basis of unverified output from the Service.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EasySystematicReviews, its officers, and its personnel from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

• Content you upload to the Service
• Copyright or other intellectual property violations
• Research misconduct
• Unauthorized or unlawful use of the platform

16. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice where reasonably necessary, including for:

• Abuse of the Service or other users
• Fraud or misrepresentation
• Excessive or unauthorized automated usage
• Security violations
• Illegal activity

17. Force Majeure

EasySystematicReviews is not liable for any delay, interruption, or failure of the Service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

• Internet outages
• Cloud service failures
• Hosting provider failures
• Cyberattacks
• Natural disasters
• Government actions
• Other events beyond our reasonable control

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
